This poem/story and prayer was written for my cousins son William. She passed away a almost a year ago. This is dedicated to my cousin Wendy and her son William.
Good night my love
My love, My love
I had to sleep, and now I am restored
You should see me now, in my new body
Oh to tell you what waits for you…
When you look at the stars at night – glance around
and see stars number infinity upon infinity
These stars, those stars
Are the only thing on GODS earth that can represent my love for you…
So at night remember as you look at the stars, that my love for you now and forever will always be as many stars as you can count and beyond
Though I am not still on this earth I am in heaven waiting for you…
I have found one of the many rooms HE, my JESUS prepared for me, and YOURS and papa’s are next to mine
So remember when you look up the stars
That my love keeps going on and on, as far as you can see
I have the promise that one day, with my own eyes, our painful parting
Will one day be a glorious reunion
Prayer for a Child:
JESUS I praise you that you are present
That YOU are my strong warrior that saves me
I praise you that you calm me with your love
You DELIGHT me with your songs
You dissipate my accumulated sorrows and get rid of them
I praise you Jesus that you HEAL me
That you give me a HOME IN YOU
I praise you that with my own eyes, all my painful earthly partings
Will one day turn into a REUNION with my (mom/dad/grandma/grandpa/brother/sister/friend)
Zephaniah. The name means “The Lord hides” or “The Lord protects”
Zephaniah 3:17-20, The Message
Your God is present among you,
a strong Warrior there to save you.
Happy to have you back, he’ll calm you with his love
and delight you with his songs.
“The accumulated sorrows of your exile
I, your God, will get rid of them for you.
You’ve carried those burdens long enough.
At the same time, I’ll get rid of all those
who’ve made your life miserable.
I’ll heal the maimed;
I’ll bring home the homeless.
In the very countries where they were hated
they will be venerated.
On Judgment Day
I’ll bring you back home—a great family gathering!
You’ll be famous and honored
all over the world.
You’ll see it with your own eyes—
all those painful partings turned into reunions!”
The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.”
“I will gather those who sorrow over the appointed assembly,
Who are among you,
To whom its reproach is a burden.
Behold, at that time
I will deal with all who afflict you;
I will save the lame,
And gather those who were driven out;
I will appoint them for praise and fame
In every land where they were put to shame.
At that time I will bring you back,
Even at the time I gather you;
For I will give you fame and praise
Among all the peoples of the earth,
When I return your captives before your eyes,”
Says the Lord.
